Scott is a former high school and middle school band director with over a decade of experience teaching concert and marching ensembles. He has worked extensively with Indiana state finalist marching bands and BOA semi-finalists as a brass and visual instructor and has written drill for various marching bands and winter percussion ensembles. As a former member of the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, Scott had the opportunity to perform in DCI finals and be mentored by brass caption head Frank Williams and the late Dr. Dean Musson.
As an active freelance trumpet player Scott has played for a number of churches, choirs, schools, weddings, and other special events. Most notably, Scott was privileged to play for the Boston Brass as part of a masterclass, and played with the Crossroads Brass of Terre Haute, IN. Currently, Scott is the trumpet player for the regional favorite funk band Superbad.
